As a first-class tuna fishing tournament, the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza combines highly-skilled anglers from all over the Northeast in a contest of competition, comradery, and fun.
The Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza Tuna Tournament is recognized as a501(c)(3) charitable organization. Understanding the importance and reward of giving back to our communities, we are committed to the purpose of raising funds in support of educational scholarships and critical Bluefin Tuna Research. To that end, we use all donations made by charity auction goers, raffle ticket buyers, and our sponsors for a scholarship fund to support students in Maine’s Community Colleges and other deserving entities.
The 2020 Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza was a huge success!!
Thank you to all of the Volunteers, Sponsors, and Captains!
Letter from the President
We’re going to give it one more shot. The combination of a General Category closure and Restricted Fishing Days have sufficiently messed up everyone's schedule. Fortunately, our registered captains have been more than understanding and supportive. We know you all want to fish so we've scheduled 3 tournament fishing days for the first available dates.
Fishing (lines in) begins at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, and runs continuously through Thursday, September 9. We'll take a couple days off for RFDs, then resume on Sunday, September 12, at 12:01 a.m. Scales will remain open from 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, then be open from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Captains who have not already done so can pick up their buckets on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. In order to participate, you must have submitted a signed waiver by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7.
Let's hope for good weather and enough quota to get us through this. Again, thanks for your patience and understanding.
Your participation and involvement are key to our success. Please visit, like and share our social media on Instagram and Facebook, and visit our website regularly to keep up with all that’s going on.
Tight lines and best of luck,
The CBBB Committee and Board of Directors
