HELLO

FRIENDS!

As a first-class tuna fishing tournament, the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza combines highly-skilled anglers from all over the Northeast in a contest of competition, comradery, and fun.

The Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza Tuna Tournament is recognized as a501(c)(3) charitable organization.  Understanding the importance and reward of giving back to our communities, we are committed to the purpose of raising funds in support of educational scholarships and critical bluefin tuna research. To that end, we use all donations made by charity auction goers, raffle ticket buyers, and our sponsors for a scholarship fund to support students in Maine’s Community Colleges and other deserving entities.

Thank you to all of the Volunteers, Sponsors, and Captains!
   Letter from the President

We did it again. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, the participation of our anglers, the diligent work of our all-volunteer crew and the weather, the 2023 Bluefin Bonanza was immensely successful. We not only met, but exceeded our goals for support of all our initiatives including scholarships for students enrolled in trades and marine science programs at each of Maine's 7 community colleges as well as internships and research at the University of Maine’s Pelagic Fisheries Lab at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute. None of this would have been possible without the support of our volunteers, participants and most importantly, our sponsors. We continue to fine-tune our efforts and hope to bring you an even bigger and better event next year. If you have suggestions, feel free to drop us a note at bluefinbonanza@gmail.com. Meanwhile, please visit, like and share our social media on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and visit our website regularly to keep up with all that’s going on.

Tight lines and best of luck,

The CBBB Committee and Board of Directors

Bob Humphrey – President
