HELLO
FRIENDS!
As a first-class tuna fishing tournament, the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza combines highly-skilled anglers from all over the Northeast in a contest of competition, comradery, and fun.
The Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza Tuna Tournament is recognized as a501(c)(3) charitable organization. Understanding the importance and reward of giving back to our communities, we are committed to the purpose of raising funds in support of educational scholarships and critical Bluefin Tuna Research. To that end, we use all donations made by charity auction goers, raffle ticket buyers, and our sponsors for a scholarship fund to support students in Maine’s Community Colleges and other deserving entities.
The 2020 Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza was a huge success!!
Thank you to all of the Volunteers, Sponsors, and Captains!
Letter from the President
We’re off! Not wanting to rest on the laurels of two successful tournaments, the folks who plan our annual Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza are already well underway in planning this year’s event, which we hope will be even bigger and better.
Response to the opening of registration was overwhelming. Rather than a trickle we had a flood, which prompted us to increase the boat limit first from 40 to 50, and then to 60. More boats means a larger payout. We’ve already increased prize money for existing categories and are exploring additional options. Stay tuned.
Support is also booming. Thanks to several generous donors we’ll be offering an array of Bluefin Bonanza apparel and hard goods for sale on our website and at the Captain’s meeting and awards ceremony, as well as on-site throughout the tournament.
Your participation and involvement are key to our success. Please visit, like and share our social media on Instagram and Facebook, and visit our website regularly to keep up with all that’s going on.
Tight lines and best of luck,
The CBBB Committee and Board of Directors
Bob Humphrey – President
