HELLO

FRIENDS!

As a first-class tuna fishing tournament, the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza combines highly-skilled anglers from all over the Northeast in a contest of competition, comradery, and fun.

The Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza Tuna Tournament is recognized as a501(c)(3) charitable organization.  Understanding the importance and reward of giving back to our communities, we are committed to the purpose of raising funds in support of educational scholarships and critical bluefin tuna research. To that end, we use all donations made by charity auction goers, raffle ticket buyers, and our sponsors for a scholarship fund to support students in Maine’s Community Colleges and other deserving entities.

The Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza continues with great success!!
Thank you to all of the Volunteers, Sponsors, and Captains!
   Letter from the President

Last year's event was an unqualified success. Interest and participation were better than ever. The weather and the tuna cooperated and we raised enough money to support all our initiatives including scholarships for students enrolled in trades and marine science programs at each of Maine's 7 community colleges as well as internships and research at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute. None of this would have been possible without the support of our volunteers, participants and most importantly, our sponsors. We look forward to bringing you a bigger and better event this year. We'll have another newsletter going out soon so stay tuned and if you’re not already on our e-mail list please be sure to drop us a note.  Please visit, like and share our social media on Instagram and Facebook, and visit our website regularly to keep up with all that’s going on. Meanwhile, click on the link below to view our 2023 Program.

Tight lines and best of luck,

The CBBB Committee and Board of Directors
